Byzantine Empire, AV solidus, Tiberius II Constantine, 578-582 AD, 22-siliqua-weight issue (rare), NGC MS, strike 5/5, surface 4/5. DOC-38; MIB-5 (Constantinopolis). 4.06 grams. Draped and cuirassed bust of Tiberius II facing, wearing plumed helmet with diadem and pendilia, holding globus cruciger in his right hand and shield, decorated with cavalryman on horseback, with his left / Cross potent set on four steps. Nice example of this rare type. NGC #4165163-047.
