Multiple Lots of Islamic Coins
The Oriental part of a collection of three gold coins (Abbasid dinar 615 H, Madînat as-salâm; Ottoman, Sulaymân Kanuni, altin, Misr; Ghaznawid, Ibrâhîm, dinar), 20 silver and about 20 copper coins, Umayyad to Ottoman and individual Indian coins, formed by a scholar from the Frankfurt area between 1965 and 2002, plus approximately 70 mostly copper coins from a site in Eastern Anatolia or Northern Syria and two modern forgeries. For each of the coins of the main part of the collection a card indicating the attribution and the provenance and in some case the metal analysis of the coin.
