CHAGHATAYID KHANS:LARGE LOT of 70 silver coins, of all three periods: First Period: AR dirhams: Almaligh mint, one dated AH653, the rest with date off flan or illegible (6 pcs in all); and Kucha, type A-L1979 (2 pcs); Second Period: AR dirhams, mostly during the reign of Qaidu, none with legible date: Bukhara (4 pcs), Imil (1), Kanjid (4), Khujand (2), Otrar (4), Samarqand (4), Shash (1), Taraz (2), Tirmiz (7), and uncertain mint (2), nearly all poorly struck, average G-VG condition; plus 23 pieces that are of very poor quality, mostly unidentifiable; and Third Period: AR dinar: one each of Tarmashirin (Bukhara, Fine), Sanjar (Samarqand, Good), and Qazan Timur (Bukhara, Poor); and AR 1/6 dinar, Kebek Khan (Bukhara, 5 pcs, 3 with legible date, all in Fair condition or worse), and Tarmashirin (Bukhara, DM, Fair); all in envelopes identified by the consignor (some may not be correctly identified), decent group for study; retail value $1200, lot of 70 pieces.
