QAJAR: Nasir al-Din Shah, 1848-1896, AR 1/8 qiran (0.65g), Rasht, AH1274, A-2933.2, very rare with fully clear mint & date, traces of the use of a very worn obverse die, EF-AU, RR. These were intended as favors for the New Year (Nowruz) celebration and were known as shahi safid, "white shahi, " to distinguish them from the copper shahi.
