PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy II Philadelphos. 285-246 BC. Æ Diobol (25mm, 15.36 g, 1h). Alexandreia mint. Series 2H. Struck circa 260s BC. Diademed head of Zeus-Ammon right / Eagle with open wings standing left on thunderbolt; monogram over shield over monogram before, T(?) between legs. CPE B198; Svoronos 594; SNG Copenhagen 124–30 var. (letter between legs). VF, dark green and red-brown patina, some roughness, a little off center.

This issue was in circulation during the Chremonidean War (circa 267/6-262 BC).
