PHOENICIA, Aradus. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (27.5mm, 13.68 g, 12h). Struck AD 215-217. Laureate and cuirassed bust left, holding spear over shoulder with right hand, large shield over left shoulder, which is ornamented with an aegis / Eagle standing facing, head and tail right, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; crescent between legs. Prieur 1257 (this coin). VF, toned, some porosity. Extremely rare, only two known to Prieur, and none in CoinArchives.
