PHOENICIA, Aradus. Macrinus. AD 217-218. AR Tetradrachm (27mm, 11.77 g, 12h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; crescent between legs. Prieur 1278 var. (legends). Good VF, lightly toned, touch of porosity. Extremely rare, Prieur did not own this example when he published his book, and three in CoinArchives.
