PHOENICIA, Sidon. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 14.08 g, 12h). Struck AD 215-217. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; carriage of Astarte between legs. Prieur 1364 (this coin). Good VF, toned, a touch of porosity, reverse metal flaw. Extremely rare, only one known to Prieur, and none in CoinArchives.
