PHOENICIA, Tyre. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 12.82 g, 12h). Struck AD 213-215. Laureate and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing on club right, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; murex shell between legs. Prieur 1549 (cf. second engraver illustrated). Near EF, lightly toned with underlying luster, deposit on the reverse.
