BRUTTIUM, Kroton. Circa 530-500 BC. AR Forty-eighth Nomos(?) (8mm, 0.15 g, 12h). Spread incuse type. Tripod, legs surmounted by wreaths and terminating in lion's feet; retrograde (koppa)PO to right / Incuse tripod as obverse, but no wreaths. Roma XV, lot 35; Roma XIV, lot 38; Roma XII, lot 50; otherwise unpublished in the standard references. VF, toned. Very rare.
