JUDAEA, Aelia Capitolina (Jerusalem). Macrinus. AD 217-218. AR Tetradrachm (24mm, 13.29 g, 12h). Laureate head right / Eagle standing facing on thyrsus, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; wine jar between legs, grape bunch in exergue. Prieur 1640; Meshorer, Aelia 96a; Sofaer 90. VF, toned, some light porosity, a few deposits. Very rare, only four known to Prieur, and nine in CoinArchives.
