EGYPT, Alexandria. Lucius Verus. AD 161-169. BI Tetradrachm (24.5mm, 13.84 g, 12h). Dated RY 1 (AD 161). Laureate bust right, slight drapery / ΡΩΜΗ, Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory in her extended right hand, and a short scepter with her left; L A (date) and a shield to lower left. Köln 2124 var. (arrangement of rev. legend, without shield); Dattari (Savio) 9396 var. (obv. bust type); K&G 39.10 var. (same); Emmett 2356.1 (R4); Curtis 769 (this coin). VF, lightly toned, a few spots of verdigris. Well centered on a nice flan.
