Septimius Severus, with Caracalla and Geta as Caesar. AD 193-211. AV Aureus (19mm, 7.08 g, 12h). Rome mint. Struck AD 210-211. SEVERVS PIVS AVG BRIT, laureate head right / CONCORDIA AVGVSTORVM, Caracalla, laureate and togate, standing left and facing Geta, bareheaded and togate, who is standing right; both holding between them, Victory standing facing on globe, holding wreath and palm frond. RIC IV 330A; Calicó 2436 (same dies as illustration); BMCRE 50*; Biaggi 1064 var. (obv. legend); Jameson 162 (same dies); Mazzini –. Choice EF, lustrous. Very rare type with BRIT in the obverse legend.
