KINGS of THRACE, Macedonian. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (31mm, 17.09 g, 12h). Amphipolis mint. Struck circa 288/7-282/1 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; kerykeion to inner left, monogram to outer right. Thompson 191; Müller 106 var. (handle on kerykeion); HGC 3, 1750l. EF, toned with underlying luster, minor edge scrape, double struck on reverse. Well centered, with an attractive portrait.
