MACEDON, Akanthos. Circa 525-470 BC. AR Tetradrachm (27mm, 17.04 g). Lion right, attacking bull crouching left; floral ornament in exergue / Quadripartite incuse square. Desneux 9 (D8/R3); HGC 3, 381; SNG ANS 4 (same dies); SNG Lockett 1280; Boston MFA 516; Traité I 1056. Good VF, toned, minor die break on obverse, scratches under tone on reverse.
