IMP CAES VESPASIAN AVG COS III, radiate head of Vespasian right / TVTELA-AVGVSTI, Tutela seated left, placing arms around a child on either side; SC in exergue. RIC II 282. Rare reverse type. Only two examples in sales archives.

Ordinarily, women and minors were under the legal protection and control of a paterfamilias, but for whatever reason sometimes were legally emancipated and were granted tutela.
