Trajan (AD 98-117). AR denarius (19mm, 3.41 gm, 6h). NGC Choice VF 5/5 - 4/5. Rome, ca. AD 107 AD. IMP NERVA TRAIANVS AVG GER DACICVS, laureate head of Trajan right / TR P COS V P P, Emperor standing in triumphal quadriga left, branch in right hand, scepter surmounted by eagle in left; the front of the car decorated with a large wreath, the side with a figure of the emperor holding a spear and erecting a trophy. RIC II - cf. 86 (aureus). Rare historical reverse type commemorating Trajan's second triumph over the Dacians in AD 107.
