Hadrian (AD 117-138). AE sestertius (32mm, 26.32 gm, 1h). NGC VF 5/5 - 2/5, Fine Style. Rome, AD 134-138. HADRIANVS-AVG COS III P P, laureate, draped bust of Hadrian right, seen from behind / EXER-CITVS to upper left, MAVRETANICVS / S C in exergue, Hadrian on horseback right, extending hand to three soldiers standing left before, the first holding aquila, the others holding standard. RIC II 924 var. (third soldier holding spear). Cf. Classical Numismatic Group, Auction 50 (23 June 1999), lot 171 for another example from the same dies and described as unpublished (?).
