Justinian I the Great (AD 527-565). AR 1/4 siliqua? (14mm, 0.64 gm, 5h). NGC (photo-certificate) AU 4/5 - 3/5. Ravenna, AD 552-565. D N IVSTINI-ANVS P P AV, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Justinian I right, seen from front / Staurogram between two stars; all within wreath. Sear 322. Wroth 72.

This example falls in the size and weight range of the 1/2 siliqua issues (Sear 320), however those have the Staurogram on a globus with step at base. Also, this specimen is of finer style than usual, with full obverse legend and well executed wreath ties on the reverse.
