An excellent Manteno stamp from Ecuador, ca. 1000 - 1500 A.D. It is 1-1/8" wide and depicts an unusual avian motif featuring a pair of confronted birds in a complex design, perhaps meant to be a butterfly. Rare type in fine condition. Value range: $150 - $250.
