Revs: long cross and pellets; second with rose at centre dividing POSVI DEVM ADIVTORE MEV and CIVITAS CANTOR legends for Canterbury mint. These coins, together with other coins connected with Canterbury, were exhibited at Canterbury Cathedral under the title 'Minting at Canterbury' and were loaned by Mr R. Dalton of Littlebourne; the original enlarged display photographs and descriptive cards are included with this lot (although the coin for the first reign issue has been replaced at a later date so does not match the image) and digital images in-situ within the complete exhibition frame are also available.
