Rev: crowned arms within wreath with BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID DEF legend. Edge: with incuse DECUS ET TUTAMEN ANNO REGNI XI inscription. Hern 640a; see Spink 3882 for host coin. 27.63 grams. ("). The Hern catalogue example was marked on an 1844 British crown of the same type, with the mark being set upright rather than inverted on this coin. Coin and countermark good fine. Rare; the host coin also being scarce.
