Alexius I Comnenus, April 1081 – August 1118, with colleagues from 1088. Pre-reform coinage, 1081-1092. Debased Tetarteron Thessalonica circa 1081-1087, AR 15mm., 3.83g. Half-length facing bust of the Theotokos, orans, facing bust of Holy Infant on breast. Rev. Crowned facing bust, wearing short beard and loros, holding jeweled sceptre and globus cruciger; crown topped with cross and with pendilia. DO 8. Sear 1906.
