Treasury Series, John Bradbury (1914-1919), fractional issue, 1 shilling, ND (1 December 1917), serial number A/1 000000, green, brown and white, crowned head of George V in oval frame at centre, value at left and right, wavy green and brown border around margins, reverse one shilling coin dated 1918 in green at centre,, (EPM T23ct, Pick 353), in PMG holder 63 Choice Uncirculated and extremely rare. Designed by C. Howard in the eventuality of protection of the country's silver assets in time of war, but never issued. A note missing in all but the most advanced collections and a lovely, charming example.
