Iran - Imperial Bank of Persia 2 Tomans P12 - issued 1924 to 1932, this piece stamped on obverse across centre in black as follows from top of banknote - Arabic writing, 8th September 1924, oval seal - Arabic writing and stars with lion at centre, "PAYABLE at BUSHIRE ONLY" hence the redemption place is Bushire, serial number B/P 020,211 in black at all four quadrants of the reverse, Signatures: V.L. Walter & M.Murrey, PMG 25 VERY FINE and on of the earlier issued examples. Rare denomination due to the "2" denomination not being popular in Persia at the time, hence reducing its issuance. Printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Company, New Malden, Surrey, England - the note is in green on multicolour underprint featuring a portrait of Shah Nasr ad-Din on obverse and a 2-tone gradient blue/light-red with a big "2" at centre.
