Divus Julius Marinus (father of Philip I) Æ24 of Philippopolis, Arabia. Circa AD 247-249. Following the death of his father, Philip I deified his father Marinus and dedicated a temple to him in his home town in what is modern day Shuhba. The name of town before the mid-third century is unknown however, it was renamed Philippopolis and elevated to the rank of colonia during Philip's reign.
