Struck by John Pinches for Geoffrey Hearn circa 1956, in .925 Proof silver, possibly on the 20th anniversary of the abdication of the king. Obverse; Hearn's portrait of King left, EDWARD VIII KING & EMPEROR. Reverse; Type 1 version of St. George on reared horse, slaying dragon, by G. Holman. Edge plain. Proof finish with a light golden tone. By far the rarer of the two reverse types. Possibly only 20 specimens were made before the reverse design was changed. This may be the finest surviving specimen. PCGS graded Proof 66 Cameo. Estimate Value $200 - 250
