JUDAEA, Aelia Capitolina (Jerusalem). Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 15.20 g, 10h). Struck AD 215-217. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing on filleted thyrsus, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; wine jar between legs. Prieur 1626-7 var. (rev. legend); Meshorer, Aelia 89a var. (same); Sofaer 80 var. (same). VF, lightly toned, flan a little irregular. Very rare.
