Anonymous. Circa 264-255 BC. AR Didrachm (20mm, 6.96 g, 6h). Rome mint. Diademed head of Hercules right, wearing lion skin around neck; club on shoulder / She-wolf standing right, head left, suckling the twins (Romulus and Remus). Crawford 20/1; Sydenham 6; RSC 8. VF, toned, roughness, numerous old scratches beneath toning.
