CELTIC, Trinovantes & Catuvellauni. Uninscribed. Circa 100-40 BC. AR Unit (14mm, 0.93 g, 6h). Whaddon Goat (Trinovantian E) type. Horned head left; pellet-in-annulet within pelleted annulet to upper left, pellet-in-annulet to lower left / Goat-like horse right, pellet-in-annulet on body; four pellets-in-annulets around. Van Arsdell 1552-1; ABC 2487; SCBC 51; CCI 00.0582 (this coin). VF, toned, trace of surface crystallization. A superb and artistically rendered head. Very rare.
