CELTIC, Iceni. Saenu (Prasutagus). Circa AD 50-60. AR Unit (13mm, 1.23 g). Saenu Six (Icenian L) type. Two opposed crescents with pellets between, superimposed upon band of three lines surrounded by two lines of pellets / Horse leaping right; six pellets on breast, four pellets above, trefoil of pellets and SAEИV below. Allen, Coins 196-200; Van Arsdell 770-1; ABC 1699; SCBC 446; CCI 01.0529 (this coin). Good VF, toned, minor flan crack, obverse off center.
