NORMAN. Henry I. 1100-1135. AR Cut Halfpenny (10.5mm, 0.78 g, 3h). Large Profile/Cross and Annulets type (BMC viii). London mint; Wulf[...], moneyer. Struck circa 1113. Crowned bust left; [scepter before] / Cross pattée [with central annulet]; pellet-in-annulet in quarters. Pimprez 1 (this coin); North 864; SCBC 1269. Much as struck, lightly toned, weak in center with clear legends, small flan split. Very rare type.

This coin has the distinction of being the earliest English coin, as as well as the only cut halfpenny, in the Pimprez Hoard.
