ROMANO-BYZANTINE WEIGHTS. Anonymous. Circa 4th-5th Centuries. Æ Two Ounce Commercial Weight (30.5x30x7mm, 53.46 g). Γ (annulet) B (value) flanking cross; all within ornate distyle façade with arched central bay; crosses in upper corners / Blank. Cf. Bendall, Weights 72-3 (for type); cf. Dürr 257 and 260 (same); cf. Hendin, Weights 382. VF, tan and brown surfaces with minor roughness. Nice preservation of silver or tin inlay, and copper inlay in the distyle façade.
