Seleukid Kingdom. Seleukos I Nikator. 312-280 B.C. AR tetradrachm or double shekel (23.7 mm, 16.28 g, 7 h). Babylon mint, Struck ca. 312-306 B.C. anepigraphic, Baaltars seated left on backless throne, right leg drawn back; holding scepter and resting hand on seat; all within dotted border / anepigraphic, Lion pacing left, above, Γ; all within dotted border. Cf. SNG Spaer 90-92 (anchor above lion); Cf.?Nicolet-Pierre pg. 292, 8.8. (cap of Dioscuri before Baal). Good VF, well-struck and centered on full-size flan, lightly toned.
