The Eagle Tavern, Shepherdess walk, City road, was rebuilt by Thomas Rouse in 1827 to include the Grecian Saloon. Subsequent alterations were made by Benjamin Oliver Conquest during his tenancy, 1852-72, and that of his son, George Oliver Conquest, 1873-9
