Provenance: Glendining Auction, 27 October 1982, lot 363; E.R. Nutbourne Collection [from J. Minshull]; Mark Rasmussen FPL 12, April 2007 (120).

In the light of the words of introduction to David Ramage senior (1615-61) one is tempted to question whether this 1661 Ramage-signed coin, undoubtedly from punches made by David Ramage senior, could have been the work of the son, especially if it were coined between October 1661 and March 1661/2 (O.S.)
