Maximinus I (235-238). AR Denarius, Rome mint, 235-236 AD. D/ IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. R/ PAX AVGVSTI. Pax standing left, holding branch and sceptre. RIC 12. AR. g. 2.62 mm. 20.50 An outstanding example, brilliant and lightly toned. A few uncleaned deposits on obverse, otherwise virtually as struck. Good EF.
