Hunan. Kuang-hsü 10 Cents CD 1899 MS61 NGC, Nan mint, KM-Y115.1, L&M-385. Presently standing as the second finest seen to-date of this final date of Kuang-hsü's Hunan 10 cents, this splendid minor transcends its small size as a true giant--a myriad of die cracks on both the obverse and reverse testifying to the strain under which the dies were placed to produce such a piece. To add to the allure yet further, we have been unable to locate a single of the other 2 certified Mint State examples at both NGC and PCGS combined come to auction in the last 15 to 20 years.
