Kiangnan. Kuang-hsü Dollar CD 1901 MS62 NGC, KM-Y145a.6, L&M-244. Thick or bold HAH variety with dotted eyes on dragon. A scarce high-grade survivor of this popular dragon dollar, with a mere 11 out of 73 certified examples at NGC reaching the Mint State level. Though admitting some minor handling in-line with the grade, the coin overall maintains a distinctive degree of originality, cartwheel luster continuing to grace the surfaces while the usual peripheral weakness just touches the outer legends without hindering their legibility.
