Kwangtung silver Fantasy Tael CD 1907 AU58 NGC, KM-X250, Kann-B36. A seldom-offered and wonderfully iconic fantasy, currently one of only three seen to-date by NGC with this being the second finest, depicting a majestic scene of a dragon above a galloping horse. Deeply impressed to a somewhat medallic level, the fields emerge as tenderly russet with mild cobalt elements nearer to the peripheries all set over a canvass of dove gray. We draw our bidders' attention to an AU Details example from Stack's Bowers which sold for just shy of $3500 in their April 2014 Hong Kong Auction (lot 31689). Erroneously labeled on the holder as lacking a date.
