Republic Pair of Order of the Golden Grain Second Class Medals and Chao Chi Portrait ND (1927), includes two medals both in AU condition and an autographed portrait of Chao Chi, Governor of Xiao-Ao port. A historically intriguing and simply beautiful pair of medals from the renowned award for outstanding civil or military achievement issued by President Yuan Shi-kai. Incredibly well preserved as there appears to be almost no lost enameling which can commonly plague these medals. Also included in this lot is a dedicated portrait of Chao Chi to noted U.S. Naval officer Lieutenant P.W. Brock.
