Kyoho gold Koban (Ryo) ND (1714-1736) UNC Details (Damage) PCGS, Edo mint, KM-FR12, JNDA 09-17, Hartill-8.20 (ER). 39x69mm. 17.73gm. Without era designator on reverse. A well-above-average example of this early 18th-century Koban that frequently comes in XF grades or lower, full die polish observed in both the recesses and on the 'flattened' portions of the stamps. Fully presentable despite a bit of flatness in the two reverse, lower left stamps, the "damage" indicated on the holder likely referring to a small obverse punch or banker's mark, likely testing the purity of the gold.
