Java. United East India Company Rupee 1750 MS65 NGC, KM170, Scholten-452 (RRR). Of simply superb quality for the issue, which is regularly seen heavily worn, impaired, or both. Strong underlying luster underneath a lovely and fully original patina exhibiting sunset red and midnight hues, the fields showing prominent flow lines radiating outward from the centers. It would be very difficult to find a better example.
