Straits Settlements
British Colony. George V silver 5 Cents 1920 MS61 NGC, KM31, Tan-SSC21. As a consequence of a shift in composition from silver to copper-nickel, the majority of the original four million production in silver was melted, leaving exceedingly few survivors of the date in that metal. This is one such example, preserved in lustrous Mint State, lightly toned and fully original. A British colonial rarity, one scarcely found so nice, if at all.
