Japan Bank of Japan 5 Yen ND (1886) Pick 23s JNDA 11-24 Specimen PMG Very Fine 25. The 1 Yen Daikoku note is frequently offered for sale, but the situation is completely different with the two higher denomination notes in this issue which rarely turn up in any grade. The 5 Yen example here, where Daikoku appears in purple on the back, is an extraordinary exception. An uncommon expedient Specimen prepared on an issued example. Inks on both sides remain excellent.
