A series of "Area A" military currency of the 10 sen, 50 sen, 1 yen, 5 yen, 10 yen, 20 yen, and 100 yen denominated notes. This type was restricted for use only by the military during the early years of the occupation of the Ryukyu Islands, and are considered the first Military Payment Certificates, as well as Korea after the end of World War II.
