China Deutsch-Asiatische Bank, Hankow 5 Dollars 1.3.1907 Pick S262s S/M#T101-2a Specimen PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. A very rare and exceptionally well preserved Specimen from the Hankow Branch of the Deutsche-Asiatische Bank. Established on 15 May 1889 with its headquarters in Shanghai, this was the only German bank with the right to issue its own notes in China. Printed by Giesecke & Devrient, vibrant colors and bright paper are seen throughout. The design features Germania with a spear at right, the German eagle seal at top left, and a dragon vignette at lower left. A perforated "Druckprobe" is present along the upper and lower margins and a red "Specimen" overprint across the back. This is the only graded example in the PMG Population Report and this rarity would highlight any collection. HID08701242017
