Hong Kong Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corp. 1 Dollar 20.9.1888 Pick 114 KNB14 PMG Very Fine 25. An impressive and unusually decent example of this rare, larger sized 19th century type. Firm paper and bright colors are noted on this example, which also features manuscript signature at left along with a handwritten date. Although PMG mentions minor ink burn on the back of the third party holder, it does not detract from the overall appearance. Notes with a plethora of fountain pen writing often have ink transfer as the banknotes were dated, signed, and restacked before being handed over to bank tellers for distribution.
