Malaysia Bank Negara 100 Ringgit ND (1976) Pick 17a PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. A beautiful example of this rare and highly specialized variety. Prefix A/11 to A/24 coincide with a minor change to the guilloche pattern, front bottom left, which are the only two ways to distinguish between Pick 11 and Pick 17a. Of more pertinent importance, this example is currently in the top spot in the PMG Population Report, with no finer examples graded at the time of cataloging. In fact, Pick 17a is rarer in all Uncirculated grades than Pick 11. This note is especially terrific, with unusually good paper quality to coincide with pinpoint centering and perfect corners.
