SICILY. Leontini. Circa 450-440 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 17.00 g, 10 h). Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΛEO-NT-I-NO-N Head of a lion with open jaws to right; around, four barley grains. Boehringer, Münzgeschichte 40 (same obverse die). SNG ANS 229 (same dies). Nicely toned. Somewhat porous and with some cleaning scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
